County Golf
There are 15 County Golf Associations in Scotland who are all members of Scottish Ladies' Golfing Association. The Rules & Regulations in relation to their membership of SLGA can be found here.
A biannual meeting of the County Golf Forum is chaired by the Participation Director of SLGA and which the Captain and Vice Captains of each County Association are invited to attend.
Business covered by the County Golf Forum, include:-
- Qualification for County Membership and County Teams
- The County Finals
- Girls Inter Divisional
- Annual Counties Open Stroke Play Meeting
- The Commonwealth Spoons Competition
- Ownership of development initiatives in Scottish Golf as they relate to county golf
We work closely with the County Associations particularly around the player pathway and their interaction with the Development Centre programme for delivery of their Junior Coaching. There are currently 76 girls from County programmes who are engaged in Development Centre programmes and we hope that this number will rise in the coming year.
For a list of each of the County Associations and a link to their web sites please see below.
